Distribution company A24 launches

< id='article_intro_ag'>LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) – Film veterans David Fenkel, Daniel Katz and John Hodges are teaming up on A24, a new distribution company the will launch in advance of the Toronto Film Festival. The company hopes to release eight to 10 films a year, several of them theatrically. It will produce and acquire movies. Fenkel is best known for starting Oscilloscope Laboratories, the producer of such challenging indie fare as “Meek’s Cutoff,” “The Messenger” and “Howl.” Katz oversaw film financing at Guggenheim Partners.
